The Billy Walton Band

The Billy Walton Band is a stunning act, outstanding even in the New Jersey Rock and Soul heartland which produced Bruce Springsteen.

Their recent album release, Soul Of A Man on Vizztone Records, was called by No Depression, “a combination of rock and soul blended together like that of no other” and by Blues Blast as “horn-driven blues-rock with a slick, urban feel”.

As guitarist with the legendary group Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Billy Walton recorded with Little Steven and Billy has sat in with numerous rock luminaries including Bruce Springsteen, Gary U.S. Bonds, and Stevie Ray Vaughan’s band, Double Trouble. Billy is called by Roger Mayer, the British sound guru who worked with Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, and Jimi Hendrix as “a star in the making”.

The Billy Walton Band’s sound is a combination of hard, funky Blues reminiscent of Hendrix, Clapton and Vaughan, mixed with a healthy dose of the sounds of Asbury Park.

Frequent visitors to regional BBC radio studios, and picking up TV appearances, the band was named in the top three Overseas Artists in the British Blues Awards – alongside Walter Trout and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
