Perfect Blue Sky are the ‘Hippie-delic’ duo of Swedish guitarist/vocalist Pna Andersson and Australian vocalist Jane Kitto. With their organic artistic vision, uplifting songwriting and mesmerising live shows, they champion a songbook laced with passion and integrity. Their music invokes a timeless journey that weaves poetry, melody and compassion into a blend of 60’s/70’s rooted music. They fuse acoustic artistry and psychedelic classic-rock together with a stage presence that audiences love. Having performed from down under to the North Pole, Perfect Blue Sky are true musical vagabonds and with their retro-modern look, are representative of today’s trending neo-hippie movement.
Their latest UK tour included considerable airplay and live sessions with radio, thanks to their label, Right Recordings, and included a review of their Liverpool appearance by FATEA magazine online, who said:
“Perfect Blue Sky played a most impressive set, mainly made up of songs from their superb, recently released second album The Eye Of Tilos. With Pna on electric lead guitar and vocals and Jane on vocals and acoustic guitar they brought the… Zanzibar to life with their appealing brand of melodic, sometimes heavy, rock with Pna’s phased guitar riffs complementing Jane’s bluesy vocals. From the excellent The Eye Of Tilos, we had the singles Astronaut and Give You My Love together with the heavy-riffed Fiction Man, which sounds like Led Zeppelin with Janis Joplin on vocals. In contrast , PBS gave us a couple of gentler tracks from their first album Emerald, namely the acoustic ballad Science Man and Phoenix Starlight, with its exquisite CSN-like harmonies. Finally, Pna took lead vocals on the wistful Wasteland, which concluded an excellent set by Perfect Blue Sky.”
